Brent Lippman – Brent is a serial entrepreneur who has created over $1 billion of shareholder value while serving as CEO for three software companies. Recently, as CEO of Khimetrics, he identified promising scientific intellectual property, provided initial angel investment, raised additional venture capital funding, created a new industry segment (Revenue Management), grew the business profitably, sold the company to SAP, and returned to initial investors an average annual return of 77%.
Prior to Khimetrics, Brent was CEO of JDA Software (Nasdaq: JDAS). During Mr. Lippman’s eight year tenure, he grew JDA into a company with $140 million in revenue, 1,100 associates, and operations in 11 countries with clients in over 30 countries.
Brent has an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
James Sills, Ph.D.
President & CEO
Jim Sills has extensive industry experience spanning 25 years and a proven track record building companies that deliver leading software solutions for retail.
He has been CTO at Revionics, VP of Retail Development at SAP, and VP of Research at Khimetrics. He has been responsible for managing teams throughout North America, Europe, and Asia to develop price, promotion, and markdown solutions. He implemented standard methodologies for Product Management, Development, and QA to consistently deliver on-schedule, on-budget, and on-quality.
He received his Ph.D. and Master’s from Georgia Institute of Technology and his Bachelor’s from University of Dayton (magna cum laude). He has published over 20 papers and holds seven patents.
Adam N. Rosenberg, Ph.D.
Chief Science Officer
Adam Rosenberg has three decades of mathematical decision-support expertise in industries including retail science, airline optimization, financial-market analysis, hotel yield management, railroad line simulation, and telephony.
He started his career at Bell Telephone Laboratories developing the emerging cellular telephone systems. He also worked in printed-circuit-board design and manufacture and wrote a book on CDMA, the most-recent mobile telephone technology. Many of his software solutions have remained in production for over a decade and they have earned or saved hundreds of millions of dollars for his employers and clients.
Dr. Rosenberg earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Stanford University in Operations Research and his A.B. from Princeton University in Mathematics (cum laude). He holds several patents.
Bob Fickes is a proven sales executive with deep retail and supply chain technology experience. He has an extensive background in supply chain execution software applications that includes ERP, Replenishment, Planning, Business Intelligence, Accounting and In-Store solutions.
During his 17 years at JDA Software (NASDAQ:JDAS) , Bob achieved the position of VP of North American Sales overseeing various sales functions including account executives, sales consulting, account management and sales operations. He was instrumental in JDAs’ growth from 65 to 1,400 associates and $215 million in sales.
Bob has an MBA from Bowling Green State University.
Chief Technology Officer
Gary Swatton leads Clear Demand’s software engineering; translating design excellence into a robust architecture that helps retail businesses compete effectively.
Gary has been designing and developing enterprise, web applications, and highly scalable transactional systems for over 3 decades, including complex solutions for companies such as Oracle, Computer Associates, PLATINUM technologies, SPAWAR, and Best Western. Prior to Clear Demand, Gary was CTO for Absolute Identification, where he was tasked with delivering a security management system for the DoD and large international banks. He has extensive experience with database technologies including SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata and DB2, and has developed highly scalable web applications and services.
Gary holds a B.S. in Computer Science from California State, University of Northridge.
VP, Professional Services
Art Klebanov is responsible for directing professional services and client implementations plus rationalizing client product requests consistent with Clear Demand’s innovations and road map.
Art has over 10 years serving in senior pricing strategy and data science roles with leading pricing technology firms, including DemandTec and Revionics. He has deep expertise in pricing and promotion optimization, market basket insights and effectiveness of merchandising programs. In his roles, Art implemented pricing and optimization solutions for some of the largest retailers in the USA.
Art holds an MBA from the Kelley School of Business, at Indiana University with Ph.D. studies in Marketing from Indiana University.
Ryan leads the marketing and demand generation efforts. In that role he is responsible for ensuring that the Clear Demand product offering is properly aligned and communicated to the marketplace.
Prior to joining the team Ryan led the demand generation efforts of leading Fortune 300 company, Republic Services. Other additional roles include CRM marketing for Oracle and B2B consulting as founder and principal consultant of Lacuna Strategic Marketing.
Ryan holds a B.A. in International Economics from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
